CoinList

CoinList is the US token sale platform founded in 2017 (Filecoin, Solana). With the shift announced in November 2025 it has become non-custodial and onchain: it no longer holds funds, has closed staking and offers token sales and tokenised assets.

Service reorganised. On 17 November 2025 CoinList announced a move to a "fully non-custodial and onchain" model (official announcement), which has now been completed: every account has a non-custodial wallet, built with Privy, whose keys, according to the company, only the user controls. Staking and the "onchain offers" yield products were wound down by 30 November 2025; several custodial products have also been discontinued. Balances in the old account can be recovered by moving USDC and USDT to the new wallet or by withdrawing other tokens to an external address, in both cases with the standard withdrawal fees (official FAQ). What CoinList is

CoinList is a US platform launched in 2017 for public token sales of new crypto projects, reserved for users with verified identities (KYC). Its sales include those of Filecoin, Solana, Flow, Mina and Ondo; according to CryptoSlate it ran 21 in 2025 and, in 2026, among others, those of Zama, Flying Tulip and USD.AI. The company claims more than 85 completed raises, over 1.2 billion dollars raised and more than 12 million verified investors. For years it offered custodial services alongside the sales: an exchange, CoinList Pro, merged into the main site on 6 June 2024, staking and other products. Today the site also offers tokenised US stocks and ETFs, issued by Ondo Global Markets, and a waiting list for tokenised IPOs created with Superstate; through Passage it also provides issuers and platforms with the tools to distribute tokenised assets. Regulation and licences

  • MiCA: NO — CoinList does not appear in the ESMA register of authorised crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), updated on 22 October 2026. For residents outside the United States the counterparty is CoinList Community Services Ltd., under the law of the British Virgin Islands, where, according to the terms of use, the services are not regulated by the Financial Services Commission; the terms do not mention the European Union or MiCA. The countries admitted vary from one sale to the next.
  • OFAC (US Treasury) — on 13 December 2023 CoinList Markets LLC agreed to pay 1,207,830 dollars over 989 transactions (1,252,280 dollars) carried out between April 2020 and May 2022 for users resident in Crimea, in apparent violation of sanctions related to Russia and Ukraine. According to OFAC, the violations, which had not been voluntarily self-disclosed, were non-egregious; 300,000 dollars is suspended pending the company's completion of its compliance commitments.
  • CONSOB (Italy's securities regulator) — there are no warnings or blocking orders for "CoinList" (search on CONSOB's website, 26 October 2026).

Security

Under the new model CoinList states that it has no access to users' funds: the wallet keys belong to the account holder, who is solely responsible for protecting them. Token sales remain high-risk investments: the site warns that the assets offered are not insured and can lead to the total loss of capital. The sources consulted show no cyberattacks involving the theft of customer funds (Verified: October 2026).

  • The site is operated by Amalgamated Token Services Inc. with its subsidiaries CoinList Services LLC (for US residents) and CoinList Community Services Ltd. (for other countries), according to the October 2026 terms of use; the site does not give an address. In 2023 OFAC described CoinList Markets LLC as a San Francisco-based company.

FAQ

Is CoinList still active? Yes, but it has changed: since the shift announced on 17 November 2025 it has been a non-custodial platform for token sales and tokenised assets, without staking or custody of funds (Verified: October 2026).

I still have funds in my old CoinList account: how do I recover them? According to the official FAQ, USDC and USDT are transferred to the new wallet; other tokens are withdrawn to an external address. In both cases the standard withdrawal fees apply (Verified: October 2026).

Is CoinList authorised to operate in the EU? No: it does not have a MiCA authorisation and does not appear in the ESMA register of authorised providers (update of 22 October 2026); access to sales depends on the country of residence.
