In 2025, the price of Bitcoin will cross the $200,000 mark, setting a new all-time high, according to Bitwise. The American crypto asset management company has published its forecast for the coming year. Analysts also forecast Ethereum at $7,000 and Solana at $750. According to Coinmarketcap, as of 11 December, Bitcoin is trading around $98,200, Ethereum around $3,700 and Solana around $223.
Bitwise bills itself as one of the largest and fastest-growing crypto asset management companies. It offers both indexed and active strategies on a wide range of investment instruments.
The company is known for creating the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund (BITW), several cryptocurrency-focused ETFs and other investment products covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi and NFT. In addition, it is an issuer of Bitcoin- and Ethereum-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with $4.3 billion in crypto assets under management.
Analysts at US management company Bitwise have published their forecast for the coming year, which they believe should be positive for the cryptocurrency market.
Coinbase will enter the S&P 500 and MicroStrategy in the Nasdaq-100, indirectly adding cryptocurrencies to the wallets of (almost) all US investors.
The Future of Cryptocurrency Investments: Key Predictions for the Next Years
The US Department of Labor will relax its guidelines banning the use of cryptocurrencies in retirement savings plans, adding billions of dollars to crypto investments. The market capitalisation of stablecoins will double to $400 billion thanks to the passage of a long-awaited stablecoin law in the US.
Real-world tokenized assets (RWAs) will exceed $50 billion, thanks to Wall Street support.
As a 'bonus prediction', Bitwise provided an estimate of Bitcoin's price for 2029: it will surpass the $18 trillion gold market and trade at over $1 million.
Exactly one year ago, the company had published a similar list of predictions for 2024, anticipating that Bitcoin would exceed $80.000, the approval of an ETF on Bitcoin in the US, a significant reduction in Ethereum's fees, the rise of prediction markets and the emergence of AI agents.
