Hamster Kombat revealed details of the second season and decided to launch its own blockchain.
The token of Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) increased in price by 35% in one week. The rise in HMSTR's price came amid a series of changes in the project and other statements by the developers.
On 20 December, HMSTR token holders were given the opportunity to participate in the management of the project through a DAO - a decentralised autonomous organisation. Holders of the game's native Telegram cryptocurrency can now propose changes and participate in voting.
On 22 December, the Hamster Kombat team announced that the second season will begin with three games that will form the basis of the HamsterVerse, an entertainment ecosystem that will be built around the Hamster Kombat characters and storyline.
All HamsterVerse games will regularly use the HMSTR token, the project team said. Users have already been invited to participate in closed beta testing.
On 24 December, it became known that the first proposal voted on by DAO participants was a project to launch a series of events for HMSTR holders with a prize pool of $1 million. The proposal was supported, and the project team promised to present a more detailed plan within a few weeks.
The second proposal, whose voting ended today, 27 December, was for the launch of its own blockchain. This proposal was also supported, the second layer network (L2) should be built in the TON ecosystem.
"We are pleased to announce that the creation of the TON-based Hamster L2 blockchain has begun. You, the world's largest Web3 community, have expressed your wish and we cannot disappoint you,' the developers stated in the announcement.
The Hamster Kombat token hardly reacted to the 27 December announcement. Its price has increased by 0.8% in the last 24 hours.
