From MIT to MicroStrategy CEO—why he moved corporate cash into Bitcoin and shifted Wall Street.
In July 2025, rapper Snoop Dogg once again confirmed his influence, this time in the field of digital assets. Together with Telegram, he released a limited edition collection of NFT in the form of digital gifts, which sold out completely in less than half an hour. Total sales reached about $12 million.
The NFT gifts, called 'Telegram Gifts', were created on the TON blockchain. In total, the collection contained approximately 996,000 digital items, including iconic images: low-rider cars, cigars, dogs, signature gestures, and other distinctive elements of Snoop Dogg's style.
The collection was split into multiple tiers:
The complete sell-out of the collection was achieved in just 30 minutes.
Integration of music and NFT
A new Snoop Dogg track entitled 'Gifts' was released simultaneously with the NFT release, accompanied by a video clip. The video contained visual references to all the images in the collection, creating an additional wave of interest.
In addition, it was announced that in 21 days' time the official generation of tokens (mint) on the TON blockchain will take place and access to their exchange on the secondary market will be open.
Importance for the NFT industry
Despite the general market decline NFT in 2025, Snoop Dogg and Telegram's initiative proves that, with competent marketing, celebrity involvement and interesting interaction mechanics, explosive interest can be generated.
In a context where the total volume of NFT exchanges has declined by more than 60% year-on-year, such a success was a real breath of fresh air for the industry. It shows that the NFT market is not dead, but is in need of a revival in formats and approaches.
Telegram has also distinguished itself as an innovator in this process: the collection was launched directly within the platform, making purchasing simple and intuitive for millions of users. This could lay the foundations for a new strand in the use of messengers as platforms for the distribution of digital assets.
The collaboration between Snoop Dogg and Telegram was a major event in the Web3 world, proving that NFTs can still attract attention and generate significant profits. The synergy between music, meme culture and technology can not only create excitement, but also set trends for the future.
The success of the Telegram Gifts collection proves that, if presented correctly, NFTs can remain relevant, especially if their distribution is integrated into platforms already familiar to users.
