Charles Hoskinson is a technology entrepreneur, mathematician and blockchain enthusiast based in Colorado. He is best known for creating Cardano.
Hoskinson's professional experience includes founding three cryptocurrency-related start-ups: Invictus Innovations, Ethereum and IOHK. He was also the founding chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation's education committee and founded the Cryptocurrency Research Group in September 2013.
His current projects focus on educating on cryptocurrency-related topics, evangelising decentralisation and making crypto tools easier for the mainstream to use.
Hoskinson attended Metropolitan State University in Denver and the University of Colorado at Boulder to study analytical number theory before moving on to cryptocurrency through industry exposure.
Hoskinson enjoys fishing and chess along with a passion for functional programming, paradoxes and maze building. He lives in Boulder, Colorado, but often travels to more exotic locations.
