A powerful documentary on how Bitcoin and blockchain are reshaping money, power, and geopolitics—from El Salvador’s Bitcoin experiment and Europe’s regulatory revolution to the rise of decentralized finance and the new global financial order.
Ondo Finance, a leading real-world asset tokenization (RWA) project, announced the launch of the Global Markets Alliance, a global partnership involving key players in the crypto industry. The new alliance comprises nine companies: Solana Foundation, Bitget Wallet, Jupiter Exchange, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, BitGo, Fireblocks, 1inch and Alpaca. According to the statement, the goal of the initiative is to accelerate the adoption of tokenized financial products and create common standards for their circulation.
The platform emphasises that the alliance is open to welcoming new companies interested in promoting the adoption of blockchain-based digital assets. "Our commitment is to unite the efforts of leading industry representatives to adapt traditional capital markets to the new digital age," said Ondo Finance spokespersons.
One Blockchain Designed Internally
Ondo Finance recently launched its own top-tier blockchain, specifically designed to work with institutional products. The new network supports assets backed by US government debt, including bonds and tokenized funds. This move confirms the company's commitment to providing a secure and regulated infrastructure for the movement of tokenized assets.
According to analytics platform DeFiLlama, total blocked value (TVL) in the Ondo ecosystem has exceeded $1.4 billion. This is more than double last year's figure, demonstrating strong demand, especially from institutional investors.
An RWA Market in Strong Expansion
The tokenized real assets market is undergoing an accelerated growth phase. In 2024, it grew by 260%, thanks to favourable regulatory conditions in the US and strong interest in US financial products in other countries. According to Binance Research, the RWA market - excluding stablecoins - has reached USD 23 billion. Private tokenized loans and US Treasuries have been the main drivers of growth.
Analysts predict that 2025 will be a crucial year for the RWA industry. More and more crypto companies are looking to combine traditional financial instruments with the potential of blockchain. For example, Alchemy Pay has partnered with Backed to issue 55 tokenized ETFs that are accessible to investors in countries with limited access to US markets.
In addition, Robinhood is developing a solution for issuing tokenized shares to European investors and plans to launch products related to digital loans.
The launch of the Global Markets Alliance reflects the industry's shared desire to join forces to develop a new financial infrastructure that combines the benefits of blockchain - transparency and accessibility - with the reliability of traditional capital markets.
