What BlockVC is
BlockVC (also cited as BlockVanguard Capital) is a venture capital and digital asset management firm founded in 2016 in Beijing by Kevin Hsu together with Kira Sun. Between 2017 and 2020 it was among the most visible Asian crypto funds: investments in public chain infrastructure, protocols, exchanges and stablecoins, with declared presences in Singapore, London and San Francisco and services ranging from venture capital to OTC and advisory. The current picture, however, is very different: there is no recent public activity — the last tracked deals and appearances date from the 2020-2021 period — and the historic domain blockvc.com redirects to a marketplace of domains for sale, a strong sign of a company no longer operating in the form that made it known. Regulation and licences
It is not an exchange for the public: as a fund/manager, the MiCA-CASP regime does not apply. There is no — and never has been any — authorisation to offer crypto services to retail users in the EU. Its current corporate status (active, restructured or wound up) is not publicly documented: public sources only record the absence of recent activity.

Not applicable (no custody of retail funds). Worth noting for completeness: in May 2020 founder Kevin Hsu publicly accused an IEO project of fraud (the Troy/Consensus Lab affair), before describing the episode as a "misunderstanding". Outcome: no known public proceedings arising from the affair.
