The 11th edition of the Blockchain Life Awards is scheduled for 22 and 23 October in Dubai. The ceremony mainly aims to recognise the commitment and dedication of those who devote most of their time to cryptocurrencies and the Web3, but it is also a great opportunity to network and get up to speed on this increasingly pervasive technology by meeting all the key players on the scene.
Themes of the Seminars in Programme
Among the topics covered in the two-day event, there will be no shortage of in-depth insights related to the Web3: implementation of blockchain in traditional business; governance and tokenomics; evolution of decentralised finance (DeFi); integration of AI and machine learning into every aspect of operations; new challenges for privacy and security; metaverse and web; augmentation and protection of every user's privacy as well as case studies and business models.
Strictly in the crypto sphere, educational meetings will be held to educate on investment, through proper risk management and balanced exploitation of the right factors, before making a decision on which is the best token or memecoin to invest in. In this regard, meetings will also be held with the aim of retracing the history of blockchain, highlighting the technological and security advances that have already been experienced as well as those yet to be addressed. Experts in attendance will enlighten all participants, showing them how best to move towards understanding and deciphering tokenomics, so as to understand its movement and direction, in order to make the most profit possible.
There will be dedicated panels on mining, trading, the NFT, artificial intelligence, the metaverse as well as the gamified financial ecosystem. They will then talk about smart contracts and the opportunity to integrate blockchain technologies into a wide variety of life domains. In short, the Dubai event is truly an opportunity to highlight all the facets of this technology, from the best known to the most remote.
The Most Important Speakers of the Eleventh Edition
As with all events of this magnitude, high-level speakers have been invited. This year, anyone attending Blockchain Life will have the pleasure of attending talks by Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether; Justin Sun, founder of TRON; Pascal Gauthier, chairman and CEO of Ledger; Eowyn Chen, CEO of Trust Wallet; Vusar Usi Zade, COO of Bitget; and Vishal Sacheendran, Head of Regional Markets at Binance. Of course, there will be many others. At the time of writing this article, we count around 40 confirmed speakers, but more are to be expected.
At the same time as the keynote guests, we will also hear from a number of blockchain start-ups, who will present their vision and the work they do to anyone who cares to listen. This is a global exhibition, ideal for bringing supply and demand together, as well as resolving any doubts of the merely curious or cryptocurrency enthusiast. In Dubai, there will be no shortage of networking.
Blockchain Life Awards
Everything we have highlighted so far, however, is on the sidelines of the actual event. The initiative is called the Blockchain Life Awards because it awards prizes (awards in English). Since the Web3 is a very specific field, all 23 categories that will receive awards naturally have to do with this sector.
The nominations are as follows:
Each category refers to the year 2024 but also considers the last months of 2023. Some awards are quite specific and aimed exclusively at industry professionals. The awards ceremony will be held on the main stage of the Blockchain Life Awards on 23 October. Nominees will be contacted until 27 September and voting will open on 7 October. It will be possible to express one's preference by visiting the event's website (blockchain-life.com) between 7 and 20 October 2024.
The ceremony is not intended to be a stand-alone gratification for those who will be honoured, but rather to recognise and represent the work carried out on a daily basis by leading companies involved in Web3. Such an initiative consolidates the worldwide community of cryptocurrency enthusiasts and puts a face to names that one typically only reads about online. In doing so, it humanizes the industry and increases its popularity.
The Parallel Events
In addition to the two-day awards event, numerous parallel events will be held in Dubai, not only on 22 and 23 October, but throughout the entire week of the event. Many of these events will be free for all those who choose to purchase a VIP ticket, more expensive than normal but ideal for anyone who wants to treasure this event and enjoy a full immersion in the world of Web3 and cryptocurrency.
The calendar of these side events has not yet been released, as it is constantly being updated in these weeks leading up to the Blockchain Life Awards, but one can expect a seven-day event full of stimuli consistent with the theme of the event, and of certain interest, given the specific weight of the participants who will be speaking.
When you decide to join a proposal of this magnitude, you should take full advantage of what it has to offer. We also advise those who will not be purchasing a VIP ticket, for financial or time reasons, to attend as many parallel events as possible, since they will thus be able to enrich - considerably - their experiential baggage.
The Importance of Networking
Initiatives such as the Blockchain Life Awards have a double utility. Firstly, they create a specific dimension dedicated to Web3 and cryptocurrencies, bringing attention and curiosity to a sector that is becoming more and more established, but has yet to gain the trust of many people. Secondly, they give anyone, from the insider to the simple enthusiast, the opportunity to network. This aspect, which is often underestimated, is crucial.
When you want to work within a certain field, or maybe just deepen your knowledge about it, it is very important to be able to do it together with other people. Linking up with those who are more experienced, or those who are not but can count on the initial enthusiasm of a newly discovered passion, helps us to better immerse ourselves in the dimension that has attracted us, giving us the necessary strength to enjoy it to the full. The added value of shaking hands, and putting a face behind every name, must be taken into account: in this way, all processes are humanised and even a sector that is entirely based on digital, such as the one we deal with, takes on physical and concrete aspects, making itself approachable and approachable.
