What Anycoin Direct is
Anycoin Direct was a European cryptocurrency broker based in Veghel, the Netherlands, which let customers buy and sell Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies using direct online payment methods. It is one of the historic names of the Dutch market, but it was swept away by the wave of consolidation triggered by the MiCA regulation: in November 2024 the acquisition of its business by fellow Dutch firm Finst was announced, and between 10 and 30 June 2025 customers resident in the EU were automatically migrated to the new platform (up to 500,000 investors within the overall scope of the deal). As a standalone service Anycoin Direct no longer exists: its site redirects to finst.com. (Verified: September 2026)
Regulation and licences
- MiCA: the licence belongs not to Anycoin Direct but to the firm that absorbed it. Anycoin Direct shut down without completing a CASP process of its own; it is one of the Dutch brokers (along with LiteBit, BCM and Blox) that left the market under the weight of the new requirements. - Finst B.V., which took over the customers, has been authorised as a CASP by the Dutch authority AFM since 24/07/2025 (number 41000015), with passporting valid across the EEA. For a former Anycoin user in the EU: the relationship today is with Finst, a MiCA-regulated platform. (Verified: September 2026)
Security
There are no public hacks or security incidents attributed to Anycoin Direct over the course of its activity. The shutdown was an industrial and regulatory choice, not a collapse: the customer migration was orderly and communicated, with dedicated FAQs still online.
